This painting lies in between figurative and abstract. It was inspired by water and light. I usually start with a real or mental place that has a particular significance to me. Then I scrape down unnecessary details searching for the essential true feeling.

In this painting, I laid the first layer “wet on wet” with watercolour. I then added ink and liquid acrylics. I love to work with water based mediums and let the paint follow the water, in a trusting process where the water does most of the work!
