This painting has been inspired by Glenbeigh’s hill. You can view this hill from Rossbeigh beach located in the beautiful Ring of Kerry in Ireland.

This painting lies in between figurative and abstract. It was inspired by water and light. I usually start with a real or mental place that has a particular significance to me. Then I scrape down unnecessary details searching for the essential true feeling.

The movement of water, the fleeting light of dusk, seasons, the flow of time, and ageing are strong
influences in my work.
