A wall in West Belfast stretches eighty metres to the peace wall separating the famous Falls and Shankill Roads of the city.
Artist and Facilitator Daniela Balmaverde worked with older members collated oral history relating to the lives of women working at Conway Mill while young people got involed in the process by contributing with their own reflections.
The aim of the project was to remove graffiti and create a long-term image, which would be respected and preserved. A poeme by Tom Kerr “The Sky” is the central inspiration for painted depiction of clouds and blue skies within which are figures of the participants in the project and the art works and stories collected representing their history and cultural identities.
