Glenbryn is known for the Holy Cross School stand off during 2001 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.Since then, a growing sense of positive civic pride has emanated from redevelopment and regeneration of the area.
Artist and Facilitator Daniela Balmaverde worked with older members to reminisce and to appreciate those from North Belfast who have made an impact on our broader society.A multiplicity of iniciatives has altered the face and conditions of life in this community with Re-imaging making a positive contribution to a long-term process.
The finish work presents the “Cave Hill” as a background to images of landmark sites and renowned personalities from the distric, incorporating sporting, arts and other heroes including the legendary “Buck Alec” alongside Sir James Galway, Dame Mary Peters, Wayne McCullough and Sam McAughtry.
