To warm up this week in the painting classes we opted for some tropical sunsets inspired by two paintings from Terry Harrison. The first example is done in acrylic, the last two in watercolour.
The husky and the polar bear below are painted in acrylic.
Last week we got inspired by the weather and we painted few snow scenes.
Below are a couple of images of the “Langhe” covered in snow. For these paintings I used acrylic and collage.
The version below is painted in Watercolour.
And finally an image of a husky painted respectively in watercolour and Acrylic and a polar Bear painted using Brusho and watercolour.
Classes are back busy as usual and is lovely to come back teaching and painting!
To start the new year we played with crystal paint (Brusho), watercolour and acrylic and painted lots of gold fishes and koi fishes! Below are some of the demonstrations:
I am only managing now to upload some of the painting done in the classes before the Christmas break!
Below are a couple of semi-abstract acrylic landscapes and some more traditional watercolours.
Only few weeks left before the end of the term.
In preparation of some life drawing we worked on one of my favourite subject: portrait. With the help of a grid everyone managed to get the proportion more or less right!
For the portrait of the man below we used tissue paper and watercolour.
Acrylic on paper for this portrait.
Mixed media: Watercolour, tissue paper and acrylic in this last version.
Here are few images featuring Lisbon and tram 28 that I painted as demonstrations in the classes. Perspective and cars were causing a lot of sighs in the class!
The first two examples are painted in acrylic, the last two in watercolour.
